At Alliance Healthcare, Part of Cencora, we are a leading pharmaceutical distribution company dedicated to enhancing the lives of people and animals worldwide. Now, we’re looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our outbound team in Hinckley on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour

Hours: 20 hours per week, Sunday 07:00 -14:00, Monday - Thursday 10:00 - 14:00

Contract: 12 month fixed-term

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for various roles within the warehouse environment. This includes picking and packing orders using our automated systems across different areas, including the medical bulk area, fridge area, and secure zones. Additionally, you may assist with transport-related tasks to ensure efficient processing of customer orders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accurately assemble items from pick documentation, ensuring the correct quantity is picked.
  • Handle items with care to avoid damage; report any damages to the line team leader.
  • Report any picking errors or visible issues in the warehouse to the line team leader immediately.
  • Ensure hospital and special check orders are assembled accurately and verified.
  • Follow specific guidelines for picking medical bulk, fridge, and secure area orders, as covered in training.
  • Respond to any errors or unusual quantities during the picking process promptly.
  • Maintain awareness of health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Keep the warehouse area clean, tidy, and free from rubbish.

Essential

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • High visual accuracy
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Basic written communication skills
  • Basic numeracy and literacy
  • Customer care orientation

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
