Our growing In-House Maintenance Team is seeking an experienced, customer-focused team member to join us as a Void Supervisor, to support the effective management of subcontractors in delivering a first-class void service to our tenants. This is a great opportunity for a motivated leader with a proven track record of driving team performance and improvement.

This role is crucial in ensuring our properties are repaired to our void standard within agreed timescales and ready for our tenant's to move into. You will be joining a sector leading in-house repairs service, supervising procured subcontractors and ensuring Midland Heart's professional standards are maintained on the front-line.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Pre-inspect voids to be scheduled and allocated to contractors, against our agreed void standard.
  • Monitor the site health and safety practises to ensure contractors carry out work safely and to a high standard, leaving properties in a safe condition for new tenants.
  • Manage the works on site through to completion with a sharp eye on quality delivery.
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with contractors to enable us to work collaboratively with our supplier chain for a common goal, ‘Tenants at Heart'.
  • Carry out thorough post inspections and provide appropriate completion documentation to our Lettings Teams to enable a swift and smooth sign up process for our tenants
  • Provide weekly internal updates for Performance Reporting on completions and post inspection.
  • Collaborate with wider business functions to implement data-driven improvements, always seeking to provide the best service for our tenants.

Our ideal candidate? Your application will demonstrate the following:

  • A relevant qualification in a building related discipline, site management or equivalent knowledge as demonstrated through a track record of relevant work experience.
  • Supervisory and team management experience in a Social Housing, Repairs and Maintenance setting.
  • Construction knowledge or experience, including Health & Safety legislation & CDM Regulations
  • Awareness of managing budgets alongside the associated financial administration.
