The role
There are roles within our Safety and Assurance focused teams at Frazer-Nash which consist of:
Regardless of which team you join, you’ll be able to develop your technical knowledge throughout the Concept, Assessment, Demonstration, Manufacture, In-service and Disposal (CADMID) phases of major defence projects; be they in the Land, Sea, Air or even Space domain. You may be finding the missing piece of the design puzzle, helping manage safety and assurance during build and delivery, solving real-time in-service issues, or helping our clients overcome ever more complex material degradation and ageing issues as military capabilities near the end of their design life. We help our clients understand and overcome safety and regulatory challenges associated with deploying cutting-edge technologies, such has those involving autonomy, or the use of novel sustainable fuels to help the drive towards net-zero.

At Frazer-Nash we think it is important that you gain exposure to the full project lifecycle and all aspects of our business. You will be given appropriate responsibility from day one, working as part of a project team, interacting with team members and clients as required in order to deliver solutions.
As part of the Frazer-Nash Capability function we will help you develop your technical and consultancy skills, you will be given the opportunity to attend training courses which will enable you to develop technical responses to our clients challenges, produce detailed work as part of a project team and develop Project Management skills.
You will have the opportunity to travel within the UK and internationally – visiting client sites, attending key networking events, perhaps sharing your work at leading industry conferences.

- Supporting the next generation of future attack submarines by conducting hazard assessments to help the MoD understand and mitigate the risk presented to the crew from fire and flood scenarios.
- Providing Safety Management expertise to Babcock in support of the Royal Navy’s Type 31 programme.
- Supporting the development of critical naval infrastructure and facilities.
- Assuring safety and legislative compliance for the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft programme, including certification and assurance for safety of the art upgrades.
- Safety managing lifesaving dismounted soldiers’ equipment for the future battlefield.
- Providing safety support to the manufacture of state of the art battlefield bridging equipment world-wide; Australia, Germany, Singapore and Canada.
- Providing an Independent Technical Evaluation service to major widebody aircraft programmes.
