About the role:

Responsible for converting the consensus demand plan into a viable, optimised and efficient production plan, the Supply Planner is a central point of coordination between the Demand Team, Marketing and Brands and the Production Operation.

If you are interested in joining, we are now recruiting for a Supply Planner. Reporting to the Planning Manager, this role will play a key part of our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Create a 12-week production plan from the consensus demand plan, smoothing peaks in requirement and optimising plant utilisation.
  • Monitor availability versus actual demand and proactively alert and react to potential out-of-stocks. Monitor the impact of promotions, competitor activity and other events on sales.
  • Support the team with timescales and production information, maintaining a project plan and coordinating activities such as artwork supply, material availability, customer approvals and brew planning.
  • Coordinate brewing requirements based on the production plan and liaise with the brewing, processing and tanker management teams to maximise efficiency in the movement of beer.
  • Monitor forecast inputs and react to variances in a timely fashion, adjusting supply plans as appropriate.
  • Observe and report on stock levels at key sites, align stockholding to the demand plan and alert slow moving items or opportunities to move goods to clearance ahead of short date problems.
  • Act as the central point of liaison between production cells, material supply, brewing and logistics for all own produced products and act as a first line of support.
  • Actively generate cost savings through a combination of leaner inventory, economic ordering and reduced waste.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain system master data such as BOM’s, MRP data and APO planning parameters.
  • Provide production planning support and / or holiday cover for the wider Carlsberg Britvic planning community.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Precious experience in a similar role ideally in within either a food, FMCG or pharmaceutical environment is preferred
  • Significant technical SAP experience
  • Ability to stay focused under pressure, manage time and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Relevant IT skills – Word, advanced Excel, Power Point
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills and high attention to detail
  • Focus on continuous improvement and encourage improvement and change where possible
  • Ability to think strategically and successfully negotiate with partners and teams
  • Passion for delivering results, taking personal responsibility and accomplishing challenging objectives
  • Ability to work well within a team, alongside feeling confident to work solo when needed
