We have the exciting, internal only opportunity for a Staff Nurse to join Jubilee Mews!
This is a 30 hour per week, 9 month contract.
You will be working in a specialist rehabilitation and recovery unit in Gosforth. You will have a maximum case load of two Service Users and will be responsible for liaising with the wider MDT to complete assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of their care and support. We accept referrals from Acute Assessment Wards, Forensic Services and Prisons. Our main focus is to support Service Users to move into their own accommodation or Step Down Support.
We work in the least restrictive way and collaborate closely with the individual and other professionals to offer ‘just enough’ support, so that people can take the risks they need to in order to reach their potential, flourish in life and transition into a community setting.

About You
We would love to hear from you if you possess the following:
- Are an NMC Registered Mental Health with a valid Pin or a RNLD with relevant Mental health experience
- We welcome applications from newly qualified Mental Health nurses
- Experience of working with people who have complex mental health problems and who can present with behaviours that challenge
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a genuine desire to care for this client group and can appreciate that all our service users are individuals and take a person-centred approach in your work
- Can demonstrate an empathic attitude and can keep our values at the heart of what you do
- Flexibility - shift patterns do include weekends and nights, and you may need to work at either service based on the service needs

- Have knowledge and experience of working with people with complex mental health needs
- Are passionate about helping and caring for people with dementia
- Have good social skills and ability to build trusting relationships with the people we care for
- Can recognise and maintain appropriate boundaries and awareness of safeguarding issues
