We are looking for a talented and highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with experience in designing and implementing public cloud infrastructure solutions to join our community of tech experts.

What skills, knowledge and significant experience will you need?

  • Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab or equivalent.
  • Writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code.
  • Container build and runtime environments, Kubernetes administration and associated technologies e.g. Flux, Argo CD, Helm.
  • Developing and supporting cloud-based applications (Cloud Infrastructure Engineering).

You and your role

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will work in an agile team to build and operate products and services for DWP Digital.

You'll get to build shared cloud infrastructure services to help application teams quickly deploy and scale applications by designing, implementing, administering, and supporting cloud technologies like networking, cloud connectivity, continuous integration, container administration and PaaS/SaaS services.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £68,517

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%, worth over £16,000 per year.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.

You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
