Whereabouts: Remote (UK) only. It's a remote position, however we expect you to meet with the team in London from time to time.

You will be asked to share proof of this prior to receiving any offer of employment.
Interviews: Around 6 hours over a few weeks, including some practical work
Salary: £33,000 (base salary) (OTE £48,000)

Your mission at Whereby
We’re looking for a self-driven, outbound-focused SDR to help us grow Whereby Embedded, our API video calling solution, particularly in the telehealth and digital mental health space. You’ll take the lead in identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new business opportunities. This role is all about outbound activity: creative outreach, cold prospecting, and nurturing early interest to build a healthy pipeline for our Sales team.
You’ll have the support of the Commercial team, but your success will come from your ability to work independently, drive your own outreach strategy, and collaborate remotely with a distributed team.

About the Role
Key focus: Outbound prospecting. You’ll be expected to find, research, and creatively engage potential customers — especially mid-sized and enterprise telehealth platforms.

We’re targeting enterprise customers in telehealth and digital mental health. Our Sales team is focused on securing deals with platforms providing remote healthcare. We use a primarily outbound motion and need someone who can help us open doors and create momentum.
You’ll be part of a tight-knit Commercial team and collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Partnerships to bring high-value customers to the table.

About the Role

What you’ll do:
- Own the top of the funnel: from identifying and researching target accounts to initiating contact
- Use creative, multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.) to break through and secure meetings
- Qualify leads and hand over high-potential opportunities to Sales Executives
- Track activity, insights, and learnings in our CRM
- Partner with Marketing to improve messaging and campaigns
- Stay sharp on product, industry shifts, and the healthcare tech space
You’re likely a great fit if:
- You’re a current SDR or Junior Sales Executive with 1–2 years’ experience
- You thrive in outbound sales and enjoy cold outreach
- You’re highly self-motivated, independent, and proactive
- You’re comfortable working remotely and communicating clearly in a distributed team
- You think creatively about how to reach prospects — and you test, tweak, and improve
- You’ve worked in B2B SaaS sales (bonus if it was an API or developer-facing product)
- You have familiarity with the healthcare or telehealth space (a strong bonus)
- Number and quality of outbound opportunities generated
- Pipeline value contributed
- Outreach activity volume and quality
- Feedback from Sales Execs
