Sitting in Vodafone UK Professional Services, the Project Specialist role is predominantly customer facing and is involved with delivering projects for our external customers, these projects will vary in complexity and value and can be independent or part of a larger project or program and they will include a range of technologies & products produced by Vodafone and our 3rd parties whilst adhering to the established organisational framework

What You'll Do:

  • Validation and Control of Scope


Formally define the project or work package scope and manage any changes in accordance with the Change Control process. Understand project budgets & finance structures.

  • Planning and Control


Develop project & resource plans securing stakeholder approval. Drive project delivery according to the plan and proactively address any potential deviations.

  • Risk and Issue Management


Establish & maintain a Risk and Issue register, identifying new risks and developing response and mitigation strategies throughout the Project lifecycle.

  • Project Governance & Methodology


Adhere to the Vodafone Project Delivery Framework and implement an appropriate governance structure with the customer.

  • Financial Management


Track project finances, using change control to manage cost variations from original baseline, Ensure Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) codes align with the project structure and are communicated to relevant stakeholders. Manage project billing milestones using the designated reporting tool and maintain a thorough understanding of change control processes, including cost ownership, milestone status, project margin, total contract value (TCV) and resource alignment.

Who You Are

  • PRINCE2 Foundation is essential, working towards Practitioner level
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering multiple, large-scale/high-value/high-risk projects or programmes
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management, ideally within a delivery focused/customer-facing role
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Agile experience is desirable
  • Please note that the ability to achieve and maintain Security Clearance is essential for this role
