For The Successful Project Engineer Our Client Is Offering

  • Basic Salary of £40,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
  • 40 hours per week, 7am - 4:30pm
  • Permanent role
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 days with service)

The Role – Project Engineer

  • Project liaison from enquiry stage to final acceptance and documentation. Meeting with clients to discuss specific requirements and carry out site surveys as required.
  • Working with clients across various sectors including the Chemical, Food, Beverage, Dairy and Pharmaceutical industries
  • Interpret and check drawings, specifications, and schedules for all activities. Directing works accordingly & preparing final documentation (As Built Drawings etc.).
  • Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction.
  • Early identification and resolution of non-conformance within both the design and construction phase.
  • Create P&ID’s using client drawing standards
  • Generate 2D and 3D plant layout drawings, detailing pipe work routes and equipment positions
  • Generate automatic pipe work isometric drawings, using AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • 3D modelling of supplier / bought-out equipment
  • Create 2D and 3D frame mounted skid fabrication drawings
  • Prepare equipment schedules, material take-offs and bill of materials, using AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • Ensure designs are fit for purpose and safe
  • Review designs in accordance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications
  • Conduct site surveys: P&ID walkthroughs and “as built” equipment positions
  • Issuing documentation to in accordance with standard procedures

What we are looking for in the successful Project Engineer

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within the steel fabrication/ engineering sector - ESSENTIAL
  • C&G/NVQ in mechanical engineering or similar qualification – BENEFICIAL
  • Previous experience using AutoCAD – ESSENTIAL
  • Previous experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D – PREFFERED
  • Knowledge and understanding of P&ID’s
  • Knowledge of Pipe work routing and isometric drawings
  • Knowledge of Steel structure fabrication drawings
  • Experience with Navisworks & Fusion360 – BENEFICIAL
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite of products, primarily Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Full Driving Licence - ESSENTIAL
