Purpose of the role
We have an opportunity for a Product Development Technician for concrete to join our small team at our Chipping Sodbury laboratory.
Conduct fresh and hardened concrete testing to support the business line in development of high performing concrete mixes to UKAS standards. Assist in assessment of primary and secondary aggregates, admixtures and novel concrete ingredients.
The successful candidate will be able to work to UKAS standards and assist the Senior Technician.
Key Accountabilities
Salary: £26,500 - £28,500 Dependent on experience
Hours: 40 pw
Schedule: 8am- 4:30pm - 30 minutes lunch unpaid
Overime: Paid overtime available

Key Accountabilities
- Production and testing of bespoke concrete solutions
- Assessment of ingredients on concrete performance
- Maintain equipment and facilities in good working order
- Conduct sample visits
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Manage stock levels of equipment, cements, aggregates and admixtures to ensure efficient use of lab time
- Maintain all required Health & Safety and Quality records
- The post holder will be able to demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft Office applications as well as SAP and Contessa, although training will be provided.
Salary: £26,500 - £28,500 Dependent on experience
