Contract type: Full time

Who are we at Arctech Innovation:
We are on a mission to protect people’s health by enabling new and innovative products and technologies to predict and prevent the spread of pests and disease.
We all live in a bug’s world. For every one of us, there’s around 500 million of them. We know we can’t eliminate every pest or disease. We also know that the next pandemic is likely to be an insect-borne disease. So, at Arctech Innovation, we are bringing together artificial intelligence with the genius of nature to revolutionize the way we manage diseases and prepare for future outbreaks.
We are developing cutting-edge connected devices that leverage gas sensors and machine learning to deliver real impact in the worlds of pest control and public health. Our devices operate in diverse IoT environments to meet these various use cases. Having relied on outsourced engineering to date, we are now building in-house capabilities to accelerate prototype development and improve design agility. We’re looking for a Product Design Engineer to lead this transformation and play a key role in shaping our future.
Who you are:
Arctech Innovation is seeking a Product Design Engineer to bring their expertise in gas sensors, electrical engineering, and 3D printing to design and prototype new products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, facilitate the transition from concept to production, and liaise with external partners to ensure seamless integration of design and manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and make a significant impact on the company’s product development process.
Main duties and responsibilities:
We offer excellent training and development opportunities as well as a competitive salary and benefits package including 30 days’ annual leave, six company wellbeing days and hybrid working options to promote a flexible and inclusive work environment.
We are situated in expert facilities with offices and labs in two locations: The Bayes Centre, 47 Potterrow, Edinburgh, and The Cube, London East-UK Business & Technical Park, Dagenham. This is a hybrid role with some travel anticipated to visit collaborators.
At Arctech Innovation we embrace diversity and equality of opportunity. We are committed to building an inclusive and diverse Company representing all backgrounds, harnessing industry-leading scientific innovation, and behaviours.
With our deep expertise in medical entomology, insect behaviour, analytical chemistry, behaviour change and data modelling, we’ve already impacted more than 250m lives and established Arctech Innovation as an influencer and disruptor within global and public health. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects with significant real-world impact.
How to Apply:
If you are excited about driving innovation and shaping the future of product design, we’d love to hear from you!
The position will remain open until filled
