Role Outline: Pharmacy Technician
As a crucial member of our pharmacy team, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation and dispensation of prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Providing invaluable health advice to our customers, under the supervision of our pharmacists.
- Handling pharmaceutical stock and inventory management; ensuring that medication is stored correctly and inventory levels are maintained.
- Operating and managing pharmacy computer systems to process prescriptions and stock orders.
- Supporting the pharmacy team in delivering public health programs such as smoking cessation, blood pressure checks, and more.
- Ensuring the pharmacy complies with all regulatory and professional standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recognised qualification as a Pharmacy Technician (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting, demonstrating a track record of reliability and dedication.
- An understanding and respect for compliance and regulatory requirements within the pharmacy sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to offer empathetic and knowledgeable advice to customers.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
