NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. This is a part-time post of 34.1 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 5 over 7.
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Older People & Stroke Service at GRI for a permanent Band 7 Nurse Educator. You will liaise with the Lead Nurses to identify ongoing development needs within specific areas & participate in the supervision & facilitation of the orientation of all new members of staff into the Directorate. Delivery of formal lectures & other teaching & learning strategies in other modules/programmes run by the Organisation & its partners in Higher education & maintain a database of all training.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. The Role Will Be As Follows
- Plan and organise relevant CPD courses to meet Directorate objectives and support the organisational change
- Promote an environment that encourages learning, teaching and the development of all staff.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Education Strategy for the Service
- The post holder will be expected to function autonomously and maintain links with the corporate education team.
