As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will be an essential part of the classroom team, assisting teachers in providing support to students and contributing to an effective learning environment. This role involves helping with lesson delivery, facilitating student participation and promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.

As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will be an essential part of the classroom team, assisting teachers in providing support to students and contributing to an effective learning environment. This role involves helping with lesson delivery, facilitating student participation and promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
Responsibilities Of The Level 1 Teaching Assistant
- Assist students during lessons, helping them to understand tasks and engage with the curriculum.
- Collaborate with teachers to prepare for lessons, ensuring all materials are organised and accessible.
- Observe and support student participation, offering encouragement and guidance as needed.
- Assist in maintaining a positive classroom environment by reinforcing appropriate behaviour and classroom rules.
- Aid in the preparation of educational resources and materials to enhance student learning experiences.
- Support the inclusion of all students, particularly those with additional needs, within the classroom setting.
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with children in an educational setting is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 1 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent, are preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, patient, empathetic and understanding approach to engaging with students, staff and families.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
