GSL Education are looking for an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a dynamic team at a client school in Grantham.
About The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, working closely with teachers and other staff members to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and social development.

About The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, working closely with teachers and other staff members to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and social development.
Responsibilities Of The Behaviour Support Assistant
- Support students with behavioural needs, helping them to stay focused and engaged in their learning.
- Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
- Monitor and report on student behaviour, progress, and development.
- Help to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages positive behaviour.
- Work closely with other professionals, such as SENCOs, to support students’ individual needs.
- Promote social skills development and encourage positive peer relationships.
- Previous experience working as a Behaviour Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- A good understanding of behaviour management strategies and approaches.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your initiative.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
- Competitive Pay: Earn between £83.33 - £95 per day, depending on experience.
