City: London
Contract type: Full time

Support migrant-led journalism with The Prisma, a bilingual newspaper created by immigrants for immigrants in the UK. Join our fundraising team and help defend independent media, Latin American migrant voices and those of other communities.
What difference will you make?
Now more than ever, ethical journalism led by and for immigrants is essential. By joining The Prisma’s fundraising team, you will help protect and sustain a unique, bilingual newspaper that has been the voice of Latin American and other migrant communities in the UK for 15 years.
Your contribution will help us build vital connections with donors, institutions, and media allies who believe in independent, migrant-led journalism. You will play a key role in securing the resources needed to continue publishing real stories, investigative reports, and testimonies that challenge stereotypes, highlight injustices, and celebrate the achievements of immigrant communities.
In a time of rising anti-immigration sentiment, your efforts will help defend the visibility and dignity of migrants in the UK media landscape. You’ll also support the recovery of archival material and the continuity of a platform that remains free accessible to all.
This is a critical moment for The Prisma. With your help, we can not only survive — we can grow, adapt, and begin to recognise, even symbolically, the invaluable contribution of our volunteers. You’ll be part of a multicultural team committed to truth, inclusion, and community — and your work will make a lasting difference for immigrant voices in the UK.

What will you be doing?
The Prisma – The Multicultural Newspaper is a bilingual (English/Spanish) newspaper created by and for immigrants in the UK. It is a unique, ethical and non-profit media outlet, produced 100% by volunteers.

This campaign is rooted in the voices of the Latin American community and other migrant Diasporas settled in the UK, and we’re looking for people who want to help those voices be heard and supported.
This is your chance to be part of something truly unique.

Contacting media outlets and allies to raise visibility for the campaign
Making calls or sending emails to supporters

Helping us shape the strategy and tone of the campaign
Time commitment
Approximately two days per week (or the equivalent hours spread across the week).
Who We Welcome
People with initiative, empathy, and strong communication skills
We understand this kind of work isn’t always easy (as campaigning can sometimes be challenging ) so we value persistence, patience, and teamwork
Good written English is required; Spanish is a plus
Spanish-speaking candidates with good English are warmly encouraged to apply
Experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or media outreach is ideal, but we also welcome those eager to learn and contribute.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
Why join us?
