We are looking for an Inventory Controller to assist within the Inventory Department in ensuring stock integrity within the contract at our site in Grange Park (NN4 5FB)

The successful postholder will ensure all stock is accounted for from receipt at Yusen Logistics, during storage and to final delivery and process Returns & Damages whilst assisting with admin such as order processing / filing for various Pharma contracts on site.

The role will offer a salary of £26353.40 per annum.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To assist with formal stock takes on behalf of the company in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • To carry out stock investigations.
  • To carry out goods inwards investigations.
  • To conduct PI counting.
  • The accurate and current completion of Inventory department records.
  • Investigate customer queries and resolve them within a reasonable period of time.
  • Prepare reports for customer, as requested.
  • Complying with customer and management deadlines.
  • Liaise with other Yusen departments, internal and external.
  • To work within, promote and identify improvements in Yusen quality management systems.
  • Maintaining of stock records.
  • Maintenance of warehouse locations
  • Assisting on the relocating of designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Adherence to procedures.
  • Assisting in the Completion of stock takes and cycle counting.
  • Processing, managing and handling of all customer returns.
  • Sorting, managing, and handling of all stock damages.
  • Other duties / work as requested by the inventory supervisor.
  • Admin support when required (holiday\absence)


Main Skills & Experience

  • Experience from an administration and stock control environment
  • Proactive and flexible approach
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong numeracy/literacy
  • Basic IT; Microsoft Office, In-house systems
