The purpose of Healthcare Improvement Scotland is to ensure the people of Scotland experience the best quality of health and care.

The Quality Assurance Directorate of Healthcare Improvement Scotland has an interesting and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to be part of the scrutiny and assurance work within NHS mental health inpatient care. You will be an experienced registered mental health nurse, or mental health professional with extensive clinical skills and experience of working in a variety of mental health settings. You will continue to hold a professional registration. Essential to the role is the evidence of senior leadership and management experience and of making difficult decisions in demanding environments and being accountable for those decisions

This role will require travel throughout Scotland (including overnight stays).
