IT Systems Specialist

Location: Bracknell (On-site, Monday to Friday)

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

Are you an experienced IT infrastructure specialist looking for your next challenge in a globally connected organisation? We are currently recruiting for an IT Systems Specialist to join a high-performing IT team based in Bracknell.


This is a key regional role responsible for managing and supporting server infrastructure and data centre operations across the EMEAI region. You will also provide advanced technical support to the operations infrastructure team and act as an escalation point for the service desk.


Key Responsibilities

  • Server & Data Centre Management: Install, maintain and monitor hardware including servers, storage, UPS, and load balancers. Evaluate and recommend hardware based on requirements and budget.
  • Backup & Continuity Solutions: Design and maintain reliable backup systems, and regularly test restorations.
  • Application & Infrastructure Support: Maintain Citrix, RDS, WSUS, and regional SQL environments.
  • Exchange Management: Administer Exchange Online and on-prem SMTP relays.
  • Active Directory & Networking: Manage AD services including DHCP/DNS, certificate infrastructure, and GOPs.
  • Cybersecurity Collaboration: Work with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities and implement security initiatives.


About You:

  • Degree-qualified or possess equivalent professional experience in IT infrastructure roles.
  • Expert with the leading hypervisor technology (VMware and HyperV)
  • Comfortable working with clustered environments.
  • Skilled with Tape, Disk and/or cloud based backup
  • Experience in Powershell scripting
  • Provide all levels of technical application support to vendor escalation
  • Expérience in maintenance of Sites and services
  • Able to assess priorities via the severity and impact
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework
  • Interest in new technologies
  • Ability to work closely with onsite teams and international teams
  • Able to organize and plan multiple, moving priorities
  • Structured and thorough approach to managing IT systems
