Job Description
What will you be doing?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Governance Manager to join our team in Bracknell. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing robust product governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate risks associated with our financial products and services.
As Product Governance Manager, your responsibilities will include among others
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive product governance policies and procedures
- Lead the product approval process, ensuring all new and existing products meet regulatory standards and align with the organization's risk appetite
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate potential risks associated with product development and lifecycle management
- Conduct regular reviews of existing products to ensure ongoing compliance and suitability for target markets
- Analyse data and prepare reports on product performance, risks, and governance metrics for senior management and regulatory bodies
- Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices in product governance and provide guidance and training to relevant stakeholders on product governance principles and processes
To be successful in this role, you should
- Experience in product governance, risk management, or a similar role within the financial services industry and a comprehensive understanding of financial products and services, as well as the regulatory landscape in the financial sector
- In-depth knowledge of product governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights and excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing governance initiatives and advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisive, well-informed decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as Certified Product Risk Manager (CPRM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred
