Your impact
Our Cities & Places team in UK is currently seeking an experienced Inclusive Design professional to join us in delivering a range of projects, in the UK and around the world. As a successful candidate you will have a strong technical background and evidence of going beyond the minimum, pushing boundaries and challenging the accepted.
At Jacobs, the Inclusive Design team follow a technical, engineering and social understanding to create welcoming spaces that promote participation and work seamlessly for everyone.
If successful, you will contribute to projects both in the UK and internationally, helping shape environments that are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for diverse populations.
This means that your designs would help reduce barriers and promote participation for all users, not just those with visible disabilities.
Your designs will also drive innovation and change, and push boundaries within the inclusive design landscape.
Your work, informed by research, data and evidence will deliver future-proofed solutions that serve end-user requirements relating to age, gender, gender identity, disability, faith and cultural background.

Here's what you'll need
- NRAC consultant accreditation and proven experience of working in the field of inclusive design.
- We’ll need you to be an excellent communicator with well-rounded people skills as you will manage diverse teams with different and often competing goals, enabling them to work together to produce coordinated and high-quality designs
- You’ll also have excellent client management skills with the ability to present your ideas clearly and effectively, evaluate the ideas of others, and communicate progress, potential issues, and proposed mitigation.
