Join our dedicated HR Team, providing an effective and proactive service to our organisation!
As our HR Advisor you will provide advice and guidance in all areas of HR including disputes, employee relations and performance as well supporting the management of cases, using your initiative, and managing your own workload.
You’ll proactively seek ways to improve the HR service and optimise efficiencies, ensuring a consistent approach is applied across all functions of the organisation.
At EMSOU no day is ever the same, we are five forces working together to protect the East Midlands communities from the most serious crimes and you’ll be playing a big part in doing that!
This role is part time, working 30hrs per week.

The East Midlands Special Operations Unit is a team of highly skilled, professional, and dedicated colleagues and partners who are committed to policing with integrity.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Working collaboratively across the forces, with stakeholders to maintain relationships and deliver the unit priorities
- Providing professional advice to managers and staff on all employment related matters
- Actively promoting wellbeing initiatives and how they can be applied in the workplace to help maximise the wellbeing of our teams
- Experience of day-to-day HR activities and ability to provide advice on HR and legal matters
- Able to manage a complex caseload using a risk-based approach
- Experience dealing with sensitive situations using a proactive mindset to maintain relationships and communicate effectively
