The ideal candidate for this job role will need to be capable of working efficiently supporting the team. They must be able to take initiative with their workload and manage their time effectively within their various day to day tasks. This role will require you to work as a part of a team and assist in the regional day to day duties. You will need to have a high attention to detail, and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Position: HR Administrator

Location: Customer Solution Centre, Slough, Berkshire (Southern Water Contract)

Job Type: Six-month fixed term contract

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am to 5pm

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 per annum depending upon experience (prorated)

About The Role

Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in on our Southern Water contract, working to deliver real and effective solutions to HR related problems. Your responsibilities will cover the following:

  • End to end administrative support to the HR team (this includes processing new starters, change of details and leavers on the HR database).
  • Ensure that all new starter documentation is returned and recorded on to the HR database.
  • Ensure that references are obtained and completed for previous employees applying for a new job.
  • Assist with any administrative duties which are required by the Resource and Talent Manager.
  • Provide administrative and generalist support to the HR team as requested.
  • Provide efficient, effective and accurate support to the HR process by ensuring accurate administration and achievement of deadlines through thorough accuracy and diligence checks.
  • Supporting the HR department in conducting investigations particularly in relation to sickness and timekeeping concerns.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports and information to the Company’s benefit providers ensure that all starters, leavers and grade changes are captured.
  • Provide general advice to employees and line managers on administrative issues connected with absence, holidays, maternity / paternity and general HR policies and procedures.
  • Any reasonable ad hoc projects, tasks, duties requested by the senior management team
  • Be aware of Lanes Group policies and your responsibility towards them

  • Have solid communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Have the ability to deal with people at different levels
