About the Role
As a SHE Technician you will support the site by making sure that the day to day operation of the H&S management system is supported. You will be the first point of call for review of incidents, will be involved in inspections & audits and will coach the managers and supervisor to take responsibility for health, safety & the environment. You will undertake projects as directed by the Site Manager and assist in training and coaching where applicable e.g. inductions and contractor controls. You will also collate performance information and assist the Site Manager in providing relevant H&S information to the site Senior Management Team. You will be a solution finder, assisting site managers and supervisors and you will bring positivity and enthusiasm to building a site culture of safety, health and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Support the day to day operation of the H&S management system.
- Review incidents and conduct inspections & audits.
- Coach managers and supervisors on health, safety & the environment.
- Undertake projects as directed by the Site Manager.
- Assist in training and coaching, including inductions and contractor controls.
- Collate performance information for the Site Manager.
- Provide relevant H&S information to the site Senior Management Team.
- Promote a culture of safety, health, and sustainability.
Qualifications
- IEMA Associate Certificate would be an advantage.
- NEBOSH or equivalent.
- Associate or Technical Member of IOSH.
- Experience within a SHE function within manufacturing or warehouse environments, food experience preferred but not essential.
- Passionate about pursuing a career in health and safety and willing to learn.
