Are you a dynamic maternity leader who is experienced in all pillars of governance looking to develop and gain an increasing depth and breadth of experience across the strategic governance platform?

We are looking to recruit an inspiring and influential Head of Women’s Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement of to work with our Director of Midwifery, multidisciplinary teams, local and corporate governance teams and strategic partners on all governance duties. The role will lead a cross site team to deliver a robust, clear and supportive approach to develop a positive safety culture across the services that are aligned to our strategic aims as a merged trust.

In collaboration with the leadership team, the Head of Women’s Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement will support the Director of Midwifery and the leadership teams on the strategic quality governance development. They will act as the lead for the development, co-ordination and implementation of effective Quality Governance framework within the Service to ensure an integrated approach to patient safety and embedding a safety culture and early escalation of risks and issues. This will include an approach to: Quality and Safety, Risk Management, Patient Experience and Education and will include a specific remit to ensure robust processes are in place to meet the service’s requirements for providing excellence in the delivery of care. To have a responsibility for the line management and performance of identified members of the Women’s governance team.
