- EDI Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of an EDI strategy with clear KPIs, tracking progress and proactively managing risks to successful delivery.
- Training & Development: Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to design and deliver impactful EDI training, including unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, and diversity awareness.
- Compliance & Legislation: Ensure Wiltshire Police adheres to all EDI-related legal obligations, including the Public Sector Equality Duty, providing expert guidance on legislative changes.
- Collaborative Engagement: Build strong relationships internally and externally, acting as an EDI ambassador, representing Wiltshire Police at industry forums, conferences, and collaborative events.
- Bench marking & Innovation: Benchmark against other organisations, adopting best practices and exploring innovative EDI solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: FCIPD qualified or equivalent experience with at least 5 years at a strategic level, ideally within a unionised or public sector environment.
- Experience: Proven track record of developing and implementing successful EDI strategies aligned with organisational goals, and experience in leading culture change programs.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire teams and drive organisational transformation.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and data analysis skills, with the ability to use data to inform strategy and track progress.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EDI principles, employment law, and diversity frameworks, as well as a deep awareness of the current challenges and trends within the policing/public sector environment.
- Innovation: Strong business transformation acumen and a passion for creating a progressive, inclusive workplace.
