Gas & Heating Breakdown Engineer

Salary: £42,513 + Excellent Benefits + Opportunity to add +30% onto your salary with overtime/the out-of-hours rota.

Location: High Wycombe (Office Location), Chesham (Depot/Stores Room Location) + travel across targeted postcode areas

Postcode patches: ¦ SG5 to SG9 + Bishops Stortford ¦ HP1to HP9,

SL0 to SL9 plus UB9 ¦ & OX25.

The Vacancy

Due to growth within our Direct Labour Operations, we are excited to announce three new positions within our Gas and Heating Breakdown team. You'll be instrumental in ensuring our homes are safe, warm, and compliant by providing gas servicing, diagnostics, and repair services to our customers. Working independently, you will deliver first-class solutions with a focus on excellence.

As a Gas And Heating Breakdown Engineer At Paradigm, You'll Join Our Dedicated Direct Labour Operation (DLO) Team. We Provide All The Tools And Resources You Need To Succeed, Including

  • A fully equipped van and a fuel card for business usage
  • Mobile phone and tablet
  • Work clothing and power tools

Your role will primarily involve delivering high quality gas services across targeted postcode patches (listed above) within Paradigm's extensive & extensive property portfolio.

What You'll Do

  • Perform gas servicing, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs across various domestic appliances.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a focus on achieving first-time fixes (95 %+).
  • Effectively manage van and stock.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork and reports once you've completed a job.

About You: We're seeking skilled and experienced professionals who meet the following criteria:

Essential Experience

  • Proven expertise in gas breakdowns across a variety of appliances.
  • ACS Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1.
  • Competence in electrical work relating to heating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
  • Full, valid driving license.

Preferred: Unvented G3 qualification.

Location/Area of Work: This role is based out of our Chesham and High Wycombe office but covers a wide area, specifically targeting postcode patches including Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, and surrounding regions.

Working Hours And Benefits

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30.
  • Participation in overtime and the out-of-hours rota, offering the potential to significantly boost your base salary (30%+). Our rota is designed to ensure all staff have manageable schedules while maximizing earning opportunities.
