Join us as an Executive Assistant where you’ll go beyond traditional diary management to play a key role in delivering transformation across Global Transaction Banking. You’ll help roll out large-scale training programmes for colleagues, managing engagement documentation, attendance, and weekly metrics. Alongside this, you’ll support core operations by handling Coupa requests, reviewing third-party contracts, and overseeing statements of work. Working at the heart of the Transformation Office, you’ll collaborate with Business, Technology, and Operations to help Barclays achieve its ambition to transform the way we deliver business value.

Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications


  • Proven experience as a seasoned Personal Assistant / Executive Assistant within financial services
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with extensive hands-on experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars and ensure timely responses to meeting requests
  • Skilled in planning and arranging detailed travel itineraries for executives
  • Able to proactively anticipate executive needs, prioritise effectively, and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Experience managing a wide range of administrative tasks including expenses, filing systems, office supplies, annual leave records, and distribution lists
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating executive meetings
  • Highly self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of Agile methodologies

Purpose of the role

To oversee the smooth operation of the bank's business activities by handling a wide range of administrative tasks.

Accountabilities


  • Management and facilitating of the cost close out of projects, ensuring any outstanding issues/cost commitments are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Supporting identified payroll and related input processes and procedures i.e., receive and verify wage input sheets from operations, escalate queries and print and distribute pay slips.
  • Provision of administrative support with regards to the implementation of the talent development strategy, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintenance of accurate and organised records, including financial documents, reports, and other administrative files.
  • Management of office supplies, equipment, and inventory, ensuring availability and ordering as needed.
