Join Our Data Team – Data Scientists Wanted (Entry to Lead Level)


We're seeking talented, proactive Data Scientists to become part of our fast-paced and innovative Data Team. Whether you're just starting your career or bring years of experience, we have opportunities for you. You'll help shape, build, and deliver advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that power our unified data platform and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) offerings. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll uncover insights, develop predictive models, and create scalable data products that drive real business impact for our clients.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support core insurance business functions (e.g. underwriting, pricing, fraud detection, claims).
  • Partner with data engineers and platform architects to design and enhance the unified data platform and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) infrastructure.
  • Analyse large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Build reusable data science assets and pipelines to support productised analytics and reporting.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand data needs and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance, quality, and compliance frameworks.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data science, AI, and insurance analytics.


Qualifications


  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (advantageous)


Experience and skills


  • Proven experience in a Data Scientist role, ideally within insurance, financial services, or a related domain.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and relevant data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data ecosystems (e.g., data lakes, lakehouses).
  • Experience with API development (e.g. FastAPI, Flask).
  • Familiarity with Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) concepts and architectures.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline development.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Excellent communicator

  • Strong presentation skills
