Contract type: Full time
Copywriter – circa £37k

As we continue to grow our business, we have lots of new and interesting opportunities within our Marketing team including a Copywriter.

It’s an exciting time to join us! Over the next 12 months and beyond we are transforming our business to support our growth strategy and to help us achieve our commercial ambitions. We are modernising our systems and processes and reviewing how we position ourselves in the market.

What’s in it for you?

At Golden Charter, everyone is trusted to be themselves, develop themselves and make a valuable contribution for our customers. Our rewards and recognition are continually evolving to make sure we are well looked after whilst enabling us to choose the benefits we want.

We are currently based in Bearsden but will be moving to the city centre in the near future. We understand the importance of work life balance and have a very flexible approach to where we work, with most employees splitting their time between working at home and working in the office. If our customers are getting the right service and our business objectives are progressing at pace, then that’s more important to us than where you work.

Along with flexibility, we offer lots of the perks and benefits you would expect from an FCA regulated company including a health cash plan, flexible benefits allowance, on-site masseuse and yoga classes, Employee Assistance Programme and mental health first aid.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Graphic Designer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all communications are aligned to our tone of voice and brand identity. You’ll help to attract new customers, improve how we market to existing customers and support all the marketing activity we do for our Funeral Director network.

Reporting to the Head of Brand, you’ll write, edit and proof-read all content, checking for clarity, grammar, punctuation and style. You’ll play a key role during the sign off process, ensuring content is compliant, error free and adheres to our tone of voice. You’ll build a programme of continuous improvement across all our content, using relevant research, insight and marketing trends.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with prior experience as a Copywriter who has exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills. Experience in financial services and an understanding of financial promotions is key. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, be creative and innovative and have the ability to work at pace and deliver to deadlines.

If this sounds like a role you’d be interested in, we’d love to hear from you so please send your CV to [email protected] or reach out to discuss further!
