CNC Miller

A new opportunity has opened up for a skilled CNC Miller in the Portsmouth area. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills to produce high-quality precision components. The role requires strong technical skills and the ability to follow engineering specifications to ensure the accuracy and quality of the finished products.

CNC Miller Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills (Bridgeport/Heidenhain)
• Interpret and follow technical engineering drawings and specifications
• Monitor the production process to ensure quality and accuracy of components
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC mills to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise
• Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times
  
  

CNC Miller Skills

• Proven experience in CNC milling operations
• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills (Bridgeport/Heidenhain)
• Ability to interpret and follow technical engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with manual milling machines is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment
  
  

Day-to-day

As a CNC Miller, your day-to-day tasks will involve setting up CNC mills, interpreting engineering specifications, operating machines to produce precision components, and collaborating with the engineering and production teams to ensure the quality and accuracy of the finished products. You will also be responsible for routine maintenance of the CNC mills and adhering to safety and quality standards at all times.
