An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cumbria, Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust tier 2 Getting help service in Newcastle upon Tyne to appoint 2 , part time 22.5 hour a week clinical support worker posts.
We are a dedicated team offering a range of psychological therapies and services to children , young people and their families in the Newcastle area.
The service offers short term intervention and support for young children with mild to moderate mental health presentations from the age of 0-18 years.
The role will offer short term support to children young people and their parents/carers under the direction of a clinician. Delivering support and interventions to support children with their mental and emotional health.
This will be an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team in the community, supporting children and their families.
The post holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting recovery and wellbeing, and maximising independence.
Having experience of working with children is a essential requirement for the post.
The successful candidate will work in a variety of setting including schools , family homes and community bases.
Work within a multi-disciplinary team assisting in the development and
implementation of collaborative, needs based care plans.
Support the team in providing excellent and effective person centered care.
Be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.
Be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring service.
Contribute to achieving all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.
Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
Work alongside a named clinician to implement care packages for child , young people and their families/carers.
May be involved in taking part or running group based activities.
