Business Development Manager

Field Based South

Permanent

Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

£43,000 - £54,000 + commission + car

As Business Development Manager you will operate within the UK market as the IPMI expert supporting our UK Insurance team. Identifying and converting IPMI opportunities in the IFA and wealth management sector.

How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen

  • Accountable for the performance and delivery of meeting/exceeding targets, ensuring maximum productivity
  • Devise and implement a business strategy, liaising across UK and BG Insurance to ensure business priorities are delivered and supported with appropriate levels of priority and urgency
  • Develop productive relationships with IFAs/Wealth managers with regular reviewing meetings to discuss sales performance
  • Delivery of engaging proposition presentations to Intermediaries
  • Providing product, proposition, underwriting and system training to advisers to promote Bupa Group benefits to their customers.
  • Representing Bupa at trade and network events
  • Regular liaison with sales support functions to ensure delivery of a good customer experience, delivered within pre agreed service levels, ensuring no duplication of effort across all teams
  • Analyse reports, data and information, anticipating market changes; leading to refinement of plans and development of solutions to deliver/exceed business growth in a rapidly changing environment

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

  • Experience working in a PMI /Protection intermediary market
  • Highly Motivated to get out and visit Intermediaries
  • Strong organisational skills to manage time effectively
  • Strong relationship management skills to build networks of internal and external contacts
  • Experience of effective sales management techniques and practices
  • A dynamic, credible, and articulate presenter
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to focus on ‘big picture’ and to make strategically important decisions within agreed parameters without referral
