About Us
Uncommon Bio was built to have maximum impact on areas of human health that require rapid innovation and intervention. We are a purpose, science and engineering-driven company dedicated to creating breakthrough technologies that will help address and push the boundaries of what’s possible – delivering innovations that benefit people and the planet.
We started pioneering the development of cultivated meat to solve some of the globe’s growing challenges in health, sustainability and animal welfare. We use RNA technology for our cultivated meat product, and we have developed very exciting technologies around our RNA platform. We are now ready to push boundaries and apply these technologies beyond cultivated meat. Our first area is pioneering nucleic acid delivery: we have already shown some exciting results in shelf life stability, costs and organ targeting. We also have some more areas in the cell therapy and disease modelling space where our cells have broken some record times of differentiation!
Our brilliant team are experts in their respective fields, drawn from around the world. We are passionate, curious, innovative and at the forefront of the groundbreaking work in this exciting and rapidly growing biotech sector.
About the role:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help us expand Uncommon’s technology beyond cultivated meat. It's our first commercial role on the biotech side, and you will play a critical role in getting this side of the business from its earliest stages to large strategic partnerships with world leading organisations. You will be responsible for everything from sourcing to closing the deals while leveraging best value from them. You will also help direct the science into the areas that have the highest impact and profit potential. Your core focus will be in the nucleic acid delivery field where we operate as a B2B venture. You will also spend some time exploring additional opportunities in the cell therapy and disease modelling space.
What you’ll be doing:
