About The Role As Technical Surveyor At Aira
Technical Surveyor's at Aira are responsible for visiting customer properties following a completed sale to collect all data required to determine the system requirements for a heat pump installation. This data will be shared with our design team and installers so they are able to carry the best, most efficient heating installation possible.
If you have a background in plumbing, heating, renewables or building surveys then this role may be perfect for you! The working hours are Monday to Friday 8 - 5, and whilst you should expect some travel within your region, our planning team will always endeavour to keep your work as local possible.
At Aira we take progression and professional development seriously. You will be join Aira in the Aira Academy, and receive training on all the systems you'll be using in your daily working life. You will also have access to world-class training provided by Heat Geek. Being a Technical Surveyor has great development potential into design roles and installation roles, as well as leadership and management positions.

As a Technical Surveyor you'll visit customer properties to accurately collect data, and this will include but is not limited to:

- Room sizes
- External property dimensions
- Building material
- Window dimensions and material
- Existing heating system
- Existing electrical system
- Location for the Heat Pump
- Hot water requirements for the property and cylinder location
- Pipe and cable routes
- Special or specific customer requirements
- Heating emitters and manifold location
- Plumbing or heating installation (min NVQ Level 2)
- Domestic electrical installation (min Level 3)
- Survey / specification experience for boilers / heating system
- Salary of £35,000 per year
