About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Annual Box and Partnerships Manager to join our Commercial team. This role plays a pivotal part in driving Annual Box revenue through proactive sales, while also delivering exceptional account management for Cheltenham’s valued Annual Boxholders and a portfolio of assigned Partners.
You will be responsible for growing the Annual Box client base, maximising renewals and elevating the raceday experience for existing Boxholders. Alongside this, you will manage and develop a designated set of partnership accounts, ensuring best-in-class delivery of rights and activations in line with The Jockey Club’s wider commercial strategy.
Reporting into the Head of Partnership Account Management, you will combine strong commercial acumen with outstanding relationship management to protect and grow revenue, enhance client satisfaction, ensuring we act for the good of British racing in everything we do.

The Partnerships Account Manager will
¨ Deliver exceptional year-round management of all Cheltenham Annual Boxholders, ensuring a best-in-class experience pre-event, on racedays and post-event.
¨ Drive financial growth through leading the sales and renewal process and develop strategies to maximise retention and revenue.
¨ Proactively manage incoming Annual Box enquiries, leading the sales process and converting leads where required.
¨ Maintain strong relationships with all Boxholders, ensuring a full understanding of their business and personal needs, usage patterns and objectives.
¨ Oversee the delivery of all raceday requirements including hospitality arrangements, ticketing, branding, access, and onsite experience.
¨ Work closely with internal Cheltenham teams to ensure the smooth and accurate implementation of all Box entitlements.
¨ Act as the dedicated account manager for assigned national and local Partners, ensuring all rights are fulfilled in line with contractual obligations.
¨ Implement practices that ensure year-round ‘best in class’ partnership management, including campaign planning, measurement and delivery.
¨ Deliver financial growth of existing accounts by driving renewals and identifying upsell opportunities aligned to commercial strategy.
¨ Understand the business models, objectives and KPIs of each Partner to ensure their rights deliver measurable value.
¨ Manage internal stakeholders to ensure partnership rights are clearly understood, delivered on time and activated effectively.
¨ Maintain up-to-date CRM records and ensure efficient processing of purchase orders, invoices and contractual documentation.
¨ Support the Partnership Sales team by identifying new opportunities and providing insight into partnership performance and pipeline activity.
¨ Assist with organising and hosting Partner and sponsor events where required.
About you
¨ Proven Account Manager who thrives on building, developing, and managing relationships
¨ Demonstrated success in a sales environment, preferably in hospitality and/or sponsorship
¨ Understanding of sports industry and commercial landscape with experience of working in a commercial client facing environment
¨ Outstanding communicator able to influence a varied range of stakeholders.
¨ Positive, can-do attitude to the workplace with a hands-on approach.
¨ A structured and process driven approach to planning
¨ Thrives in a fast-paced environment bringing your energy and passion to the workplace.
¨ Highly focused and organised with excellent attention to detail.
¨ Technically savvy with excellent written and oral communication skills
