Infios have an opening for an analyst working in our Freight Audit team working from our Ellesmere Port offices on a hybrid basis. Working closely with David Irvine and his growing team you will be the first point of contact for our clients’ questions and requests, providing appropriate and timely responses.

You will be working to manage our freight audit invoice volume and perform carrier audit analyses to identify savings opportunities, also working directly with our client service team to report observations to support with resolution to transportation/audit issues. We would like you to ensure audit exceptions are handled accurately and efficiently on the customer accounts, while ensuring agreements between the customer and carrier are accurate.

What a Day In Life Of Looks Like

  • Audit customer invoices for discrepancies, including incorrect discounts, invalid accessorial charges, audit rule exceptions, and incorrect rates, while ensuring compliance with audit standards.
  • Analyse and interpret rate tariffs for accurate integration into the Infios rate engine, maintaining up-to-date documentation (SOPs) for knowledge sharing and process consistency.
  • Manage daily workload across assigned accounts, prioritising tasks effectively and collaborating with internal departments and regions to support set-up and automation.
  • Support and train colleagues, offering guidance as needed, contributing to a culture of cross-training, and ensuring awareness of rate and carrier changes or compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with customers and carriers, handling exception management, collecting feedback, and maintaining professional, courteous relationships to support issue resolution and process improvement.
  • Participate in daily audit team meetings, providing updates, sharing insights, and communicating internal or external feedback to drive improvements and automation initiatives.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset and the ability to address challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and professional approach to working with colleagues and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to create and interpret reports or documentation.
  • Educational background in Business or Information Technology** is preferred; knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation carrier operations is highly desirable.
