Accountant

A qualified GL Accountant is sought after to manage day-to-day general ledger accounting tasks, whilst ensuring the highest level of financial integrity. The role also includes preparing financial statements and reports for a prominent FMCG organisation in Armagh.

Description

• Administer all aspects of General Ledger accounting.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other Accounting & Finance team members to streamline processes.
• Assist with audits and year-end closings.
• The GL accountant will develop deep knowledge across a range of areas including revenue/ cost of sales / overheads / inventory / fixed assets and deliver on these to the business.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to the general ledger.
• Participate in special projects as assigned by management.

Profile

A successful GL Accountant should have:

• A solid background in the Accounting & Finance department within the FMCG industry.
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Strong technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Ability to build working positive relationships with stakeholders including Senior BU finance staff.
• A team player who can work collaboratively across business units.
• Strong interpersonal, planning, and presentational skills.
• Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Flexible regarding travel requirements.
