About This Role

We are seeking a Legal Associate to join BlackRock’s Legal Insights team, supporting our FAIR (Fee and Expense Analysis & Reporting) service for private market clients.

This role is ideal for a lawyer or legal professional with strong analytical skills who is interested in applying legal expertise in a data‑driven, operational environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Review private fund documentation (LPAs, side letters, MFNs)
  • Analyse legal fee and terms data using standard templates
  • Identify non‑standard drafting, missing documents, and interpretation issues
  • Support FAIR validation and client reporting through accurate legal analysis
  • Work closely with senior lawyers and operations teams to deliver high‑quality outputs

What We’re Looking For

  • Legal qualification or equivalent legal experience
  • Experience reviewing complex legal agreements
  • Strong attention to detail and structured analytical skills
  • Interest in private markets and fund documentation
  • Comfortable working in a process‑driven, high‑volume environment
