The role

As a HR Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our Contracts and Onboarding (C&O) team, supporting new starters and existing employees across all Babcock sites. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where your work will directly contribute to the smooth onboarding of talent into our business, helping us deliver critical services that protect nations and communities.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Supporting and managing cases from the People Advisor Team, ensuring service level agreements are met
  • Facilitating the administration of employment contracts and onboarding processes
  • Engaging with hiring managers and candidates to provide timely updates
  • Recording HR data accurately and aligning with payroll deadlines
  • Collaborating with the wider PeopleCentre team to deliver a seamless employee experience


This is a 12-month fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home.

Essential experience of the HR Administrator:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced HR environment
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service


Qualifications for the HR Administrator:

  • Standard Grades including English and Mathematics
  • CIPD Level 3 (desired but not essential)


Security Clearance

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
