To respond to emergencies and call outs during or out of hours on rotas as required and assist with winter maintenance activities as a second man or driver’s mate. Includes apprentices who have fully completed training

- Safe Dig
- Current Driving License
- CSCS card if client requirement
- Minimum level of every day behaviour as set out in the company behaviours matrix
- To have and be able to apply a wide range of generalist skills
- To understand risk assessments and to assess according to safe systems of work
- To be able to understand and carry out work as set out in a specification
- Generally hold 12 months+ experience
- Potential & interest in obtaining LGV licence
- Undertaken training on: General health & safety awareness / Risk assessment awareness / Traffic Management / Use of PDA as required
- Ability to use small plant and equipment
- Ability to operate mini excavator
- Team player, prepared to contribute and participate fully in team work
- Prepared to work varying hours to meet the needs of the business
- Willingness to apply skills to a variety of different highways jobs, with changing team members
- Prepared to develop and undertake relevant training and qualifications
- Be able to complete record sheets, paper or electronic
- Be able to take responsibility for plant and equipment
- Ability to use own initiative
- To understand and be responsible for own safety, plus that those around them
- To be available for emergency and/or winter call outs
