About The Role
As a Structural Technician, you'll be at the heart of our project delivery, managing and assisting technicians, apprentices, and trainees. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the quality, coordination, and efficiency of our technical outputs, while also contributing to team development and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Project Delivery: Take charge of producing and coordinating 2D/3D models, drawings, and schedules for a wide range of engineering projects. You'll delegate tasks effectively and ensure all project outputs meet the highest standards and deadlines.
Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with internal and external design professionals, managing document control and ensuring seamless coordination throughout all project phases.
Develop Practical Solutions: Assist with engineering inspections, surveys, and reports, verifying construction works against design, and recommending practical, buildable solutions that improve design outcomes.
Mentor and Manage: Plan and manage your workload and that of the technician team members, providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional development. You'll also assist with fee calculations and contribute to project fee proposals.
Drive Innovation: Collaborate with internal task groups to improve workflows, share knowledge, and support efforts to enhance technical standards and efficiency across the business.

What You'll Bring
- Proven ability to lead the production and coordination of detailed structural engineering models and drawings
- Strong understanding of project stages, health and safety implications, and quality assurance procedures
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders
- Experience in delegating tasks, managing workloads, and mentoring junior team members would be preferable.
- A proactive approach to continuous professional development, with the attainment or maintenance of EngTech status preferable
- A desire to contribute to business development and innovation
