Sage

Date: 3 hours ago
City: Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract type: Full time
Job Description

At Sage, innovation starts with our people. With over 13,000 colleagues across 40 locations worldwide and more than 2 million customers, we’re united by a shared purpose: to transform the way millions of businesses work. As a global leader in AI, finance and HR software, we harness cutting-edge technology to simplify complexity and drive progress.

We're looking for ambitious graduate to join our People Analytics team - individuals who are passionate about turning data into actionable insights and using evidence-based recommendations to help senior leaders make informed decisions that drive meaningful organisational impact.

Why join Sage as a Graduate?

This isn’t a passive development programme. From day one, you’ll work on real business challenges, contributing to how Sage builds critical skills across AI, leadership, and commercial excellence.

You’ll be expected to think differently, challenge how we work today, and help us design the future of learning — not just support it.

Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office

Key Responsibilities

What you will be involved in

  • Working with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business challenges and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Working with large-scale datasets to prepare, transform and model data for reporting, analytics and data science applications.
  • Applying statistical techniques, predictive modelling and machine learning approaches to solve workforce challenges and generate actionable insights.
  • Developing analytical products such as dashboards, reports and insight packs for leaders across the organisation using modern data and analytics tools.
  • Supporting the development of AI-powered solutions, intelligent agents and workflow automation to enhance decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
  • Supporting the development, maintenance and troubleshooting of People Analytics data products and solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimise People Analytics processes, products and ways of working through automation, experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • Researching emerging developments in artificial intelligence and data science, and evaluating their application within People Analytics.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for graduates who are curious, proactive and motivated to make a real difference - not just follow a process.

  • A degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • A strong interest in data, analytics and emerging technologies.
  • A willingness to learn modern data and analytics tools, including data modelling, reporting and AI technologies.
  • An analytical mindset with an interest in solving complex business problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Curiosity and motivation to explore statistical analysis, machine learning and predictive modelling techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver analytical solutions.

You’ll stand out if you:

  • Actively explore AI, automation, and emerging analytics techniques to improve how workforce insights are generated and used
  • Bring curiosity and ideas, and are comfortable testing, learning, and iterating quickly using data
  • Care about impact—using data and insights to influence decisions, not just produce analysis

Your Graduate Programme

You’ll be part of a structured graduate programme designed to build core People Analytics capabilities and accelerate your readiness for a long-term career in data-driven and business insight roles.

The programme will combine:

  • On-the-job learning and real project ownership within People Analytics
  • Exposure to different areas such as workforce reporting, advanced analytics, and insight delivery
  • Development aligned to future skills including AI, data science, analytics, and business storytelling
  • Opportunities to contribute to high-impact People Analytics initiatives that support global decision-making

Working at Sage you will also benefit from:

  • Access to global learning platforms, expert-led sessions, and modern analytics tools
  • Opportunities to work on strategic People and workforce analytics projects
  • A clear career pathway into People Analytics
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare, competitive pension, and more
