We are looking to recruit a Direct Payment Monitoring Officer to join our busy Revenue and Payments Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, professional environment and wants to play a key role in supporting effective service delivery for adults who require social care
The role focuses on auditing accounts for people who are in receipt of a Personal Budget via a Direct Payment
What you will be doing:

• Providing an efficient and effective audit function
• Providing information, advice and guidance to assist people with the financial management of their Direct Payment,
• Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation,
• Ensuring all tasks are completed and timescales adhered to,
• Progress any issues relating to the management of the budget and report to Adult Social Care
• Recover any unspent monies following the audit and/or close-down process.
• Support the Direct Payment Team

What we’re looking for:

• Experience of working in a financial or audit environment would be beneficial

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence interpreting financial information.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Effective organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Proficient in the use a range of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and e-mail.

• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
