At Fostering Rotherham, you’ll never foster alone. From day one, you’ll join a network of experienced foster carers, dedicated social workers, a therapeutic team, teachers and support staff who work together to give local children the stability, care and opportunities they deserve
As a foster carer, you’ll provide a safe, nurturing home for a child or young person who cannot live with their birth family. In return, we’ll provide you with comprehensive training, local support, a competitive fostering allowance and a community that’s with you every step of the way
What you’ll do

• Provide a safe, stable and caring home for a child or young person.
• Support children to develop, learn and achieve their potential.
• Work alongside social workers, schools and other professionals.
• Help children stay connected to their local community, friends and education whenever possible.
• Be part of a supportive network that shares knowledge, encouragement and experience.

What we’re looking for
You don’t need previous fostering experience. We’re looking for people who:

• Have a spare bedroom or a room that would be suitable as a bedroom on a temporary basis.
• Are caring, patient and resilient.
• Can provide a stable and nurturing home.
• Are committed to helping children reach their full potential.
• Want to make a lasting difference as part of a supportive community.
