  • THE ROLE -

The Research Culture Manager will work collaboratively with research and support teams to better understand and contribute to a long-term, strategic approach to research culture. Building from existing good practice and coordinating with the implementation of the Ulster University Research Strategy 2023-2028: People, Place and Partnership, the Research Culture Manager will identify gaps and areas for improvement and build upon existing good practice to progress a positive research environment where individuals thrive and are supported to undertake locally and internationally impactful research.

Responsible to the Director of Research and Innovation, the Research Culture Manager will support the delivery of the University’s core research values of collaboration, enhancing potential, inclusion, and integrity. The successful postholder will work in partnership with researchers to devise appropriate mechanisms to capture, progress and evaluate strategic objectives and ensure continuous learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • ABOUT YOU -
  • Hold a degree or other relevant professional qualification.
  • Have significant experience in higher education or a research environment with good knowledge and understanding of the challenges aligned to the research environment and/or research culture.
  • Have a sound knowledge and understanding of best practice in research culture and awareness of key concepts in Practice as Research.
  • Have experience of successfully delivering transformational change through a complex project.
