Assistant Accountant

Duties

KCR Solutions are delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Accountant for an excellent manufacturing company based in Gateshead. Reporting into the FC you will be an integral part of the finance team responsible for producing management information for month-end, quarter end and year end reporting. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in manufacturing and will be part qualified CIMA. Main duties will include:

• Produce daily, weekly and month end reporting
• Month end journals and reconciliations
• Overhead cost analysis
• Assist with the standard costing and works order processes
• Ensure reporting of all financial results including financial statements, midyear reviews, forecasts, budgeting and all cost and financial reporting is done to schedule.
• Assist with required information for statutory reporting and taxation departments at head office
• Offer support and advice to other locations as required
• Provide information to support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure accounting practises are carried out in accordance with current standards
• Assist on special projects as required, as part of the Finance team and the wider business
