We are recruiting a Group Leader to lead up to 50 colleagues, ensuring the delivery of a safe and exceptional service to our client. The shift pattern for this role is 05:30-14:30 and 15:00-Midnight on a rotational weekly basis and offers a salary of £43,814 per annum.

This is an exciting role for a proven divisional manager with knowledge of Health & Safety requirements to join our leading logistics organisation.

The Role:



As a Group Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and activities of one of our logistics teams, ensuring that our clients receive their orders promptly.



Providing expert leadership to your team, you will allocate team activities for each shift, including shunt operation, internal operations and managing the receiving Docks.



Working with a team of other Group Leaders you will place an emphasis on overall efficiency and safety, and will review current processes and Standard Operating Procedures and implement improvements where possible.



Additionally, you will:



  • Produce comprehensive shift handovers

  • Manage team training and mentoring processes

  • Oversee employee performance, absence and conduct in accordance with Yusen procedures

  • Maintain excellent relationships with both Yusen and Customer stakeholders



About You:



To be considered as a Group Leader, you will need:



  • A Counterbalance FLT licence

  • Proven experience of managing people or divisions

  • A good knowledge of health and safety requirements

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment to specific targets and deadlines

  • A customer-focused approach to work

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages



Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in a supply chain or an automotive environment. A track record of delivering high efficiency standards would also be beneficial.
