Are you a Music ECT looking to start your induction in September 2024?



A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a reputable secondary school located in Yardley for a passionate and dedicated Music ECT (Early Career Teacher). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is eager to embark on their teaching career journey within a supportive and nurturing environment

As a Music ECT, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in accordance with the UK national curriculum for Music at Key Stages 3 and 4. You will join a dynamic department dedicated to fostering creativity, musicality, and a love for music among our students



Key Responsibilities:




    Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students


    Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive


    Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development


    Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the music curriculum and departmental initiatives


    Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to promote music within the school community

Requirements:




    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) with a focus on Music


    Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education


    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


    Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential


    Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community
