The role:


As a member of our Product Development team you will be responsible for the development of compelling outdoor products that will delight our consumers. You will be working collaboratively with the Design, Sample Room and Merchandising teams to deliver against the end-to-end product development process timeline. You will be responsible for the development of all apparel using advanced product engineering techniques with the consumer, quality and cost front of mind.

The role you'd play:



  • Develop and create tech packs in PLM to communicate requirements for Design aesthetic, fit, and construction, ensuring clarity and understanding throughout the supply chain, in line with all key calendar milestones.
  • Interface with Asia team counterparts to optimise development process and prototype approval, empowering 'close to source' responsibilities.
  • Confidently lead fitting sessions and proto reviews with product team for assigned products, instruct amendments to vendors to ensure prototypes accurately reflect construction specifications.
  • Ensure consumer needs are at the center of development decision making and product engineering.
  • Responsible for the delivery of all projects on time and to cost, through rigorous product/cost engineering and manufacturing feasibility assessment.
  • Co-engineer cost saving solutions with design to achieve seasonal margin targets, balancing creativity and functionality with profit, taking direction from Merchandising leads.
  • Actively research market, trends, and industry innovations.
  • Integration of Quality and CI feedback loops - to ensure early identification and input on product construction, testing, manufacturing capability and efficiencies.
The must haves:

  • Technical product development experience within sports/outdoor apparel
  • Experience engineering patterns and garments to enhance margin, improve fit and reduce waste.
  • Knowledge and experience of PLM systems
  • Familiarity with Lectra Pattern Making and/or 3D software (CLO, Browzwear) an asset.
  • Advanced experience developing products with technical fabrics
  • Knowledge of garment construction methods in multiple fabrications (woven, knit, & engineered knits) and product categories desirable
  • Consumer focused with a strong performance product bias and an inherent technical curiosity.
  • Strong team player, with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate at pace with flexibility, initiative and be solution orientated
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks & competing priorities
  • Self-motivated, strong sense of urgency, collaborative mindset
  • Excellent time management, organizational & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify, work with & influence key stakeholders.
  • Curiosity for change & learning, capable of managing ambiguity
  • Passion for our products, Development, and company success.
  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Illustrator
